King Salman Interchange. Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
The existing two-level crossing of King Salman Road with Abu Bakr Road in Riyadh was improved to a four level crossing, incorporating an overpass on Abu Bakr Rd, a flyover for the East-South traffic, and the extension of the existing underpass to add surface for U-turns.
Bridges were designed as continuous precast concrete box girders. Decks were designed by Prainsa, and designed checked by SILGA, who also did the design of the substructure. SILGA was responsible for full detail design of the extension of the underpass and assistance during construction of all the structures, including geometry control of the precast segments.
