Princess Noorah University viaduct. Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Princess Noorah University in Riyadh occupies a large area in the North of the city. Transportation of staff and students within the campus is facilitated by a Metro system elevated on a Viaduct structure over 10 km long.

The Management of the University raised the need to have an structural assessment of the viaduct, to identify potential future structural problems, some of which could be latent, and therefore not giving early indications of future durability or safety issues.

SILGA performed the analysis of the structure based on the as-built drawings. The work was complemented by the visual inspection of several typical locations.
