Lusail Footbridge, Qatar

The new development of Lusail in Qatar included the construction of a footbridge that serves not only as a crossing but as a place to solace, including coffee shops.

The structure is designed as a three span cable stayed bridge. The deck has a twin cross section that opens and closes creating spaces for hospitality.

SILGA’s scope was the review if the design, by checking the structural calculation report and detail design drawings and producing comments to be incorporated by the designer.
